Shift Supervisor


Responsibilities:

• Review production schedule and priorities to determine shift assignments and critical actions on a daily basis
• Ensure all materials and batch records support shift requirements and any off shift needs for the day
• Oversee all tasks on the floor under scope of supervision and provide assistance and troubleshooting where needed
• Provide on-the-floor training to support formalised technical and GMP training
• Communicate end of shift status to the next Shift Supervisor and to the Production Manager as required for smooth hand off on a daily basis
• Provide continuous motivating and team building atmosphere
• Responsible for assisting with forecast and for meeting indirect materials budgets and overtime budgets
• Work independently to ensure that work orders, dispensing, preventative maintenance, QC and documentation issues are resolved and enhance communication at all levels
• Interview and hire operators and technicians to engage suitable candidates to ensure operational continuity
• Conduct performance reviews
• Any other duties as assigned by Production Manager


Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in a Science / Engineering related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
• Knowledge of GMP applications
• Experience in manpower planning
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to perform 12-hour shift duty
