G-Resources is a Hong Kong listed gold mines and explorer. G-Resources Group
Limited (HKEx:1051) is an Asian gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong.
The Company’s main asset is the Martabe Gold and Silver
Mine, located in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The mine is built to the relevant
international codes and standards, including seismic criteria, environmental
standards and engineering criteria. It has acquired the world-class Martabe
gold-silver project in northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Already in development,
Martabe is expected to commerce commissioning at the end of 2010 with first
gold poured in early 2011. The plant is capable of producing at rate of 250,000
oz gold and 3M oz silver per annum.
Martabe Gold Project with a resources base of 6.5M oz gold
and 3M oz silver per annum. Martabe with a resources base of 6.5M oz gold and
66M oz silver will form the core starter asset around which a globally
competitive, Asian-Pacific focused gold company will be built. G-Resources
seeks to rapidly grow production to more than one million ounces of gold
annually through exploration of the large and highly prospective Martabe
property and through acquisition of other quality gold assets.
To strengthen the existing team and to ensure the
achievement of the company objectives, Martabe Gold Mine is looking for a top
calibre candidate to fill in a role:
MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT – INDONESIAN NATIONAL POSITION
(PRO 1068)
This position will be based at Martabe site in the
processing plant, working on schedule 4 weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports
directly to Expatriate Mechanical Superintendent.
There is No mobile plant with this role.
The role of the Mechanical Superintendent Fixed Plant is
responsible for :
• Provide mechanical departmental support for the Expatriate
Mechanical Superintendent and the Senior Mechanical Coordinator with daily,
weekly and monthly tasks including budgets and projects.
• Provide guidance in Process Plant shutdowns
• Incident reporting and investigation
• Documentation review of PM’s and SOP’s.
• Provide Supervision, guidance and support for the
mechanical supervisors to help develop their skills as frontline leaders.
• Review the weekly maintenance plans in conjunction with
the supervisors to prioritizing plant requirements
• Ensure effective communication is maintained between the
supervisory teams across operations and maintenance departments.
• Liaise with Training providers to achieve desired training
packages that suit the department’s needs to develop our people.
• Provide safety guidance and work place inspections
identifying areas for improvements to be a solid safety culture.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the
following qualifications and experience:
1. Graduation from a recognised TAFE or Technical collage
obtaining an Engineering trade qualification
2. 7 years or more in supervisory roles or higher in a
mineral processing plant
3. Frontline Leadership qualifications.
4. Proficient in the use of CMMS (PRONTO)
5. Thorough knowledge of technical skills development in a
developing country, training techniques, standards, equipment, tools used in
the mechanical engineering trades.
6. A good understanding on the mechanical workings and
maintenance of material handling, crushing, grinding and commutation circuits,
pumping and pipeline systems
7. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power
Point, Outlook and Internet.
8. Proficient in English skills both written and spoken
PROCESSING SUPERINTENDENT–INDONESIAN NATIONAL POSITION (PRO
1069)
This position will be based at Martabe site in the
processing plant, working on schedule 4 weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports
directly to Deputy Production Manager.
The Role of the Processing Superintendent is responsible for
develop, plan and implement strategies for continuous improvement in the
Process Plant performance with particular emphasis on safety, productivity,
quality and cost. Oversee plant operational control and process development to
enable plant production efficiencies, cost, quality, environment and safety
objective to be achieved.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the
following qualifications and experience:
1. Graduated from Senior High School – SMK or SMA. Tertiary
metallurgical qualifications are sought and would be highly regarded for this
key position.
2. 5 years or more in gained a significant experience in
senior production metallurgical role within the resource sector.
3. Minimum 12 years relevant mineral processing plant
experience. With experience in Crushing & Reclaim, Grinding &
Reclassification, Carbon in Leach, Desorption & Regeneration, Waste Water
Polishing Plant.
4. Experience commissioning gold Processing Plant equipment
5. Ability to read and understand PFD’s, PID’s and control
philosophy documentation. The ability to explain information in these documents
to trainee Process Plant Operators.
6. Understanding of and ability to use plant SCADA system.
Commissioning experience (not essential but highly regarded)
7. Training of plant personnel and supervisors in an
expatriate environment
8. Thorough knowledge of the methods, tools raw materials, and
technology used in the metallurgical processing environment.
9. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the
mineral processing industry.
10. Ability to manage the work of others on a daily, weekly
and monthly basis.
11. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written
and oral instructions including the interpretation of engineering drawings.
12. Ability to prepare complex reports and maintain complex
records.
13. A thorough understanding of the production flow sheet of
a CIL Process Plant.
14. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power
Point, Outlook and Internet
15. Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate
with all staff and display a high degree of respect to the local people and
their culture.

Plants
